The Confirmation program here at Emanuel is for students in 6th through 8th Grades. We meet on Wednesday evenings during the school year from 6:30 to 8pm in the church gymnasium. We use "Here We Stand", a confirmation curriculum published by Augsburg Fortress. We also provide Confirmation mentors and use a small-group discussion format.
2010-2011 confirmation instruction begins Wednesday, October 6! All 6th, 7th and 8th graders are invited to participate in confirmation instruction on Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Parish Building Auditorium (except for October when we will meet from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.).
New this year: all confirmation families and youth will attend class together on October 6, 13, 20 and 27. Each of these evenings will begin with a free and catered meal. Go to http://emanuelhartford.herewestandconfirmation.org to register your youth today!
As a reminder, if there is ever a chance of inclement weather, remember to call the church office at 525-0894, ext. 3. A message will be recorded by 5pm that day if class is canceled.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2009 CONFIRMANDS!
On Sunday, June 7, the following young people were given public affirmation of the faith into which they were baptized:
Zachary Tyler Bellis
Carson Andrew Bloomquist
Liliana Elizabeth Hollertz
Ryan Joseph Mercier
Maxim Mikhail Nowak
Mariea Elaina Swanson
Kathryn May Wieber
Our gracious God, through water and the Spirit, made these young men and women God's own, forgave them of their sins and brought them to newness of life.
Pray God's blessings upon each of these young lives as together they grow in faith and love of God and assume greater responsibility in the life of this Christian community.
